Yeah I've seen that, but I still think that it's really weird that he Pikachu never seem to grow/level up

I guess it's the same logic as 'the simpsons'. To keep them all the same age, so as to make it easier to pump out episodes. That way you don't have to worry about any sort of character development.

But I would love to see them do a series with the old gang (ash brock and misty) when they are much older.

Yeah that'd be great
I know the "logic" behind all these, but I still find it amusing that:
1) almost every girl he travels with has a crush on him in some way
2) he never ages
3) Pikachu never levels up
4) Ash always has to check his Pokedex when he sees a Pokémon, which he's caught/seen before in another region, as if he's never heard of it in his life
