The first in a 4-painting series (hmm, I wonder what the other 3 paintings will be...) Per usual, I'm not entirely happy with the results... much better than where I was this time last semester, but not yet where I want to be.watercolor on watercolor board

It was a painting I did after one of my best friends died of cancer... the model was a royalty free image I found online

lol yeah, college is quite the adjustment! how are you liking your classes so far? thanks for your comments, I'm glad you like it! right now I feel like I bit off more than I can chew, but hopefully the other three will come out close to as well as the first. not where I want it to be yet, but it's my first major focus on figurative watercolor and it's really small scale, so I'm pleased so far.

I really love my classes thus far (ESPECIALLY WRITING) and i just joined the writing journal on campus which is great so far, everyone is really nice. its also good because they'll get me off my lazy bum & writing some more new stuff
