Here we go with new aweseome pictures eosAndy made! This is my witcher OC, Clara Marianne von Weißdorn, a Redanian squire. Yes, just a squire, but clothed like a knight because daddy loves her very much and has a lot of money.
Love and hate the arm dress, it was such a big amount of work and I sweared a lot during the process, but they do look quite cool I think.
Also, love love love the helmet. This is my favourite type of helmet (Sallet or Schaller in German) and although it's heavy I love wearing it. And it has flowers on, how weird and awesome is that?
Also I've not grown fat, I just wear my chest plate and gambeson under the coat.

Es ist schon schön, wenn man merkt, dass man besser wird. Auch wenn es eigentlich immer etwas gibt, wo man mehr lernen kann oder man entdeckt neue stile, neue Techniken etc etc...das macht mir einfach super viel Spaß daran, es wird nie langweilig.
Nee, die sind mit einem Holzstempel aufgestempelt! Ich würde ja sagen so verrückt wäre ich nicht, aber wenn ich mich daran erinnern, wie ich eine Pelerine für Signe mit gefühlt einer Trillion Zaddeln in Eichenblatt-Form ausgeschnitten habe...gut, dass ich über diese coole Stempelform gestolpert bin.

Gestempelt? Oha! Ich hab das auch mal versucht mit Stempel aus Moosgummi und Acrylfarbe gemacht, aber es sah auch immer gestempelt aus. Gibts da n Trick? o.o

Es gibt Holzstempel, die auch für Textildruck da sind. Das Verwenden ist echt etwas umständlich: du machst Stoffmalfarbe auf einen Schwamm und tupfst sie auf den Stempel - vor jedem Stempel. Sieht dann auch nach Stempelabdruck aus, aber ich mag das ehrlich gesagt. Ich finde einen gewissen "handmade" look schön.

I stopped counting.
But most work was actually planning the outfit. The witcher franchise offers a lot of inspiration and has loads of awesome designs - but about two types of redanian soldiers and very, very few interesting designs for women who are not sorceresses. I wanted a look that was a warrior, but also feminine AND strongly witcher inspired. Getting to a design I liked took about a year.
