Here we have my last piece of 2020. This is another piece I did for a book on the 1st Kansas Colored Infantry during the American Civil War. It shows the main character, dressed in the uniform of the Grand Army of the Republic, regaling his family with the story of his service. It is because of his service and the service and sacrifice of other black soldiers in the Civil War that their children and their children's children never had to breathe a single breath of air as under the yolk of slavery.

Hope you all enjoy this piece. It was probably one of my favorites that I have ever done. Happy New Year to you all!
