10 3/4" x 28 1/4"This is the fourth of five prints from my BFA senior show. My show was about the using my prints to narrate five different fairy tales in my own way. The five fairy tales were some of the older and lesser known Grimm Brother and Hans Christian fairy tales. All critique is appreciated for this set of prints.
This print is based off of the Grimm Brother's "The Robber Bridegrooms".

Thanks. This is perhaps my favorite in this series. I am thinking about redoing some of the others to make them a little stronger compositionally.

thank you! I really enjoy doing detail work on woodcuts and this piece almost kicked my butt while I was trying to render salt. I am glad that it came out alright and that you like it.

Lovely style~ The faces on the men look very creepy.
I have to say the joints on the fingers for the men in the back look a bit too heavily shadowed. It looks kinda like they have hm.... puppet fingers? I'm not sure how to explain it.

Yeah, I agree. I am still working on hand rendering and what I like the best. If I redid this piece I would like to spend more time on the men in back because the arm in the foreground and the salt took so long to carve out that I could not give the background the time and consideration it needed. Thank you for the critique, it is appreciated.
