The Shepherd and is Love is one of those sweet, bucolic sylvan scenes so popular for centuries. The Pre-Raphaelites were especially enchanted by such scenes.

I colorized a vintage print from an old book, with rather modest success. I tried to make sure the couple had some good color, and bring out the cute sheep dog, as well as the sheep in the distance. Maybe it works okay, I hope, but anyway, I hope you like it.
