Description
Art inspired by the movie Interstellar, as you might have suspected from the title.
In General Relativity wormholes can (hypothetically) appear in certain points in spacetime, where space is bend so much that two seperate points in space are connected through a tunnel. Contrary to many depictions in movies and literature, the entrance of a wormhole itself is actually not flat 2D circle but a 3-dimensional sphere.
If you are interested in science fiction with real physics, then Interstellar is a must-see for you!
It is not only very accurate, but also visually enganging. Thanks go to Dagohbert for his asteroids and to in-the-skies who provided parts of the texture I used for the wormhole.

hey have you played ac4, you know when Blackbeard dies, the music that plays, well I was listening to it while I looked at this and it went perfectly with it, anyway the planet being sucked and lost into oblivion itself is an awesome idea, also the fact that asteroids that would actually be thousands of miles away are being taken along with it is just detailing how catastrophic the situation is. Also the planet or star going through the hole and burning and sparking whilst touching the edge of it is beautiful, almost like it's being teleported and not in fact lost in space and time. Also the planets space around it to the left dust suction look is awesome, you know the streaks of turquoise and purple, Well done m8.

all right, m8, here's what I've done, I've written good points and bad points about the game, very short so you wouldn't have to worry about reading all of it, in fact I was pretty surprised you know because when I written it up it actually looked and sounded like a professional critique, anyway at the end of it I end up saying that you should play it because I loved it, so I could either give you the game critique with all the good points and bad points which would maybe have a risk of spoiling it for you, or you could not worry about it being spoiled and just ask for the critique but that would be your choice and risk my friend, you feeling me?
Or you could just play it which is what I recommend at the end of the critique anyway. So,
OPTION 1: Just play the game because at the end of the critique that's what I recommend for you to do anyway.
OPTION 2: Ask for the critique with all the good points and bad points which contain a risk of spoiling it for you.

Wow. Let me just say, wow. This is a beautiful picture, and I like the title. It really speaks to the nature of the picture. The dark and cool colors in the picture really bring out the dark and unpredictable nature of outer space. I assume that this is a star or planet being sucked into the wormhole?
If so, awesome. If not, still awesome. The cool colors, the purples and blues that you used to light the picture are great, and really add a lot of impact to the picture. I am not certain if this is a star or a planet, but either way, it's beautiful, and the comet that seems to be flying into the planet/star is a great touch.
Over all, this is an amazing picture, and it really blew my mind.

To clear things up, it's neither a star nor a planet but the sphere is the wormhole itself. And the comet I believe you are referring to is a space ship coming out of the hole.

The artwork, like the movie itself, is mesmerizing . The use if scale is good, with the use of asteroids in the background helps to appreciate the size of the planet which in turn reflects the gravity of the wormhole. Using realistic color palette helps in favor of the wormhole. The composition is great considering the wormhole distorts everything even though i think the bottom of the planet might have been better if it was slightly distorted towards the wormhole to add to the realism. There should be more cracks on the surface of the planet as gets sucked by unbelievable force. Overall, this is a great piece of art.

Are you talking about the planet with the rings on the left, or the small one "in" the wormhole? The latter is actually not in this world but on the other side of the wormhole.

I am talking about the later bigger one...I thought it might have been a bit distorted as it experience more gravity due to it's larger size and being closer
more size+more close=more gravity=more distortion
