Description
This illustration was done as the basis for the cover of the extremely independent comic (i.e. not easy to find), "CAG West Coast Anthology #6".CAG is an anagram for Comic Artists Guild and the theme for this particular book were stories all based within Las Angeles, that emotionally cold city that I and Hawanja call home. And because I'm not a big fan of this smoggy land, I had a trio of evil space monsters attack the Hollywood sign and then some!
Leading the trio of terror is the Cosmic Jerk of Destruction, a red cyborg and former fairy-tale giant that also serves as my Galactus homage. Joining him is Fu-Face, a very unpleasant, eat-anything alien lizard, and lastly Drippy the Unbelievable, the one-eyed slime-based beast who use to be the star of a now defunct alien circus. In the fleeing crowds below is a cameo from myself, the fat, Oni-looking dude opposite from the random hot blond babe, and if you look even closer in the fearful horde, Dr. Daisuke Serizawa (PHD) from the original "Godzilla, King of the Monsters" is there, looking heroically suicidal with his infamous invention the Oxygen Destroyer in tow.

Really, I kept hearing it was the best of the otherwise harmful trilogy...okay, that's not saying much in the film's defense.
Burn Hollywood, BURN!!!

Believe me man, if you have any real love for transformers as we know them you will stay as far away from that film as possible. Its more of the same crap we saw in parts 1 and 2, pointless extra human characters stealing the autobots and decepticons spotlights, little character development for the transformers despite their amazing numbers, and...Ugh, the ending...So bad, so wrong >_<
Sorry, the TF movies are a sore point with me "adds more gasoline to the fire & tosses all existing TF trilogy films into it" XD
P.S. have ya heard any good things about the new Planet of the Apes movie? Or Fright Night perhaps?

Well thatβs what happens when Japan starts monster rental reservations on their cities; the gigantic riffraff start for freer pastures...
Thanks for the comment and fave!

Spread the monster mayhem from coast to coast. I love it!
No problem, at all.

Thanks.
I don't play video games often (if not at all), but even I was impressed with "War of the Monsters", with its art direction, original characters, and superior controls, which sadly the recent Godzilla ones lack. I so hope to do a sequel to the game, and maybe offer fans to contribute their own creations, like the contest that spawned Jet Jaguar and Guyros the octo-android from "Ultraseven".
BTW, there was supposed to be a 'Two-Headed Ogre' as a playable character, but was dropped in "War's" pre-production. Just thought I'd share this tidbit of unmade kaiju history.

One thing I've always admired about your work is the wonderfully stylish, extremely retro Japanese vibe it has. It couldn't be illustrated better here. The three monsters are all nicely distinct and stylish. The little easter eggs in the crowd are just icing on the cake.
I particularly like Drippy, just for being such a kooky, original, effective design.

This has got to be one of the better comments I've had in a long while...complete with a favorite character and love for the in-joke cameo, which I always strive for. Thank you so very much, and yes, I like Drippy the best myself!

Very cool (and for once, I can't make a Doctor Who fan fiction comment)

Thanks...and yeah, no Doctor fan-fare...not that he hasn't taken on the kaiju-kind before. Now thinking about it, these three monsters of mine look more like refugees from "Iron King" then anything the Time lord has battled...and I know you've enjoyed the adventures of that Ultraman-like cyborg secret agent / nerd.

IRON SHOCK!
Man, I really need to watch the rest of the boxset. I've only gotten through the first one.

It really gets better as the show progresses, all the way up to the awesome and highly enjoyable alien weirdos known as the Titanians...man I love those guys!
Love the reference to the theme music BTW.

I love the theme music, especially Iron King's. I knew when I heard that, shit was going to go down.

Most Japanese hero songs are like that...you feel like you have to go out and kung-fu kick an alien! And now excuse me, I have to go next door and apologize to that nice Baltan lady and her child I physically hurt yesterday...damn Iron King song.
