Self portrait! I've actually never ever done a serious self portrait. It's always been cartoony versions of me. Somehow I find it really scary to draw myself. I want it to look good but it has to be accurate and I don't want to portray myself like something I'm not. Well, I made some exceptions...I've drawn girls with alternative styles, messy hair and piercings for as long as I can remember. Despite this I've always considered myself too "boring" to be able to look like that myself. Well, fuck that! This portrait is me + all the stuff I want to do. Piercings and the partially turquoise hair. It's a look I love, so why shouldn't I be allowed to get it for myself? No reason at all! Now is the time. :3

It's not just you XD Lots of people have commented on this and I guess it's sort of true. I wrote her voice acting script just as I would have talked if I were I jumping rocket launcher wielding core guardian. Her character design is a mix of all the things I love and wven though she's not at all meant to be based on me she just has all the things I'd love to have. You could say I copy her style rather than the other way around :3

Actually, I think it would look amazing. I've had my hair in a long ponytail before and all of it was dyed a bluish sea green, haha. It was actually kinda fun. I'm aiming to get my ponytail back, personally. I miss it.
But I digress! It's interesting to see a self-portrait (and I suck at them, so you'll never see one from me). And you're not "too boring", you're a Casual Friday kinda gal, haha! I say do whatever makes you happy!

I think I'm pretty much of a punk/grunge/skate/weird person when it comes to style

I'm a skater boy. Comfy jeans, skater shoes, and a sarcastic tshirt or a comfy hoodie, and a beanie hat. It's always been my style. Then again, I also like trench coats, even though I look kinda punkish in them. I can also apparently pull off a certain bishounen look, too...long ponytail with bangs, slim reading glasses, a nice shirt and slacks. haha, I just wear what I feel like wearing, and it always has to be comfortable. I've also got three tattoos, and more on the way. It's my body and my look, so I don't let other people influence it unless they think there's a style I'd look good in. If you just be yourself, then you'll be fine. Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

Hair is one of my favorite bits to paint, so I've practiced a lot. My main focus is to just let it flow. Don't mind gravity too much. Dynamic flow is more important
