The black and white gives this an interesting feeling for me. With the petals limned in light, it seems as though the flowers are stretching and reaching out of the darkness toward the light. I know this is exactly what flowers do, look toward the sunshine, but this seems more than simple growth and more like escaping darkness. I hope that makes sense!
