Great work on this. I love the red against the black and white. Normally I would agree with nwinlu about the blending, but I don't think you need to in this, everything works well together.

Since this appears to be the eye of an android, cyborg or undead being I suggest in future renditions you add more human and machine fusion. I notice the lower eyelid appears to be metallic or inorganic. Try " blending " skin with circuits ( or frankenstein/vacuum tubes if the technopast is your thing ). Other then that this is superbly done.

that would be a good idea, and i was thinking about it, but I decided I wanted to keep it clean.
its more like a glimpse into the near future where mechanical organs can replace body parts
