I'm hopeless, sorry xDDDDI've been wanting to make a more realistic portrait to add to my portfolio... but I cannot get this guy out of my head.
So, yeah, for those of you that don't know (which pretty much I think is almost everyone) this here is victorian business man Langdon Everett Caul, from Hellboy's comic book spinoff B.P.R.D ^^
In my world, Langdon can be no other than Doug Jones, so, there
. 'Nuff said =w=

Sketched and painted all in Photoshop CS2.
Time spend: uhh I had HB2 movie on the background while I worked on this and now the credits are rolling =w= so, about 2 hours. Speed paint ftw!

did you notice that I replyed to your "lost Memory" awhile back-before I read"Garden of Souls?"
I will not say anything else about that Graphic novel-in case you haven't read it yet!
You know, when I look at The " A Lost memory" again.
You have Mr. Caul 'drawn" just almost exactly as I imagine him!
The guys supposed to have been in his 70's! But for some reason he didn't look near his age. His clothes are perfect for that "Victorian" look! The hair and mutton chops too!
I wish that I could add this to my favorites again!
and I have to agree, who else but Doug Jones could play Langdon Everett Caul!

I've read Garden of Souls, but yeah it makes me even more sad than angry for the guy. He was a really, really sad person. Everything around him just crumbled :/ It's like he wasn't human when he was human, and only learned AFTER he was no longer one. Sad :/

I haven't read past the Garden of Souls yet.
I wa talking to another DA friend and Abes past isn't further explored!A pity because the Garden of Souls just opened up more questions about Langdon Everret Cauls/Abe's past.
Hmmm, a good topic for a spin-off graphic novel I think!
I liked the drawing very much. I haven't seen many fanart drawing with both Caul and Abe, has done a drawing featuring Doug Jones as Caul too. But different than yours.
Anyway, yours is a fantastic drawing.

Ohh, I just love Caul. Such a cool and interesting character. You gave him a really delicate look in this picture... with such a soft tinge of sadness. Really sweet drawing. And I definitely see the Dougie in it.

Yup! Lankhmar is actually a serie of novels Mignola managed, along with another guy, to put some of its short stories in forms of comics quite masterfully! I've read the novels before the comics and I must say I was truly pleased!
