This is really terrific: Out of all the pieces I saw, this one popped out to me. Great composition, nice depth, wonderful action. My only quibble is that no archer would ever shoot an arrow like that twice- the string of the bow ought to be inside the left arm. You may think I'm being overly critical of the piece, but, to my mind, this detail detracts from the danger and the threat of the archer herself, and so lessens the total impact of your art.

Good crit, just have to disagree. I can't see how that detail detracts at all. I'm not worried about details like that. I look at this and see pure splendor. I just think that stating it's detracting is like saying..."that axe doesn't look realistic at all." Well...yeah...it's an illustration. I find it strange that you'd get hung up on this. Don't mean to single you out, or sound like a jerk...I'm just kind of...baffled.

Hey, I'm not trying to belittle your work, just supplying an opinion from a guy that's been around for a while. As a person who has shot arrows when younger, it bothered me that your archer would injure herself when releasing an arrow. I'm an admirer of quite a few illustrators and artists who go the extra mile to research detail in order to make their presentations more convincing. To me, it's like knowing bone structure, but producing an animated character, say Mickey Mouse, that doesn't seem to have any bones. Listen, I think your work is terrific as it is, but it could be even better.
