Talon: You may think you're unloved... but ponies do love you. The moon that you rise acts as a timepiece, to mark the passage of the months, and to indicate when food is ripe for harvest. Your moon acts as a stabilizer for the planet, keeping its tides, its climate, and its axis constant. Your moon helps to illuminate the lands below, to help bring peace to the towns and cities. If anything, your moon is more beneficial to this planet's life forms than Celestia's sun in my eyes. For, to me, the sun is just a blinding ball of fire, whose purpose it is to burn, to harm. It may have brought this planet into existence, but it does little to help and plenty to harm. However, your moon is calming, rejuvenating, peaceful. Anypony could look at the moon for as long as they wished, and not have to worry about being blinded or burned. Your moon is the reason why a total eclipse of the sun is even possible on this world, and an amazing spectacle when the full moon is in the shadow of the planet and seems to glow red. You may not realize it, but ponies love you and your moon, even if they do not say it directly. In fact, your moon allowed the ponies to flourish, and they owe a great deal to it. Ponies are actually trying to find out more about it, to learn about it. Your moon inspired countless fairy tales, folk legends, and scientific discoveries that may not have been made otherwise. So, when you put it in perspective, Celestia's sun is the lesser light.

: I am NOT a pony. I am a spirit of air and darkness that only has a physical form when I am bonded to a host. Without a host, I will eventually die, for I live by eating the feelings of misery, loneliness, and despair that my host generates, granting them a vast increase in power as I do. That is why the dragon would make such a fine host, only a little push is needed to bring all of his pain and misery out of his subconscious.

Haven't you been listening? As a spirit of air and darkness, emotions like love and joy and hope are utterly alien to me. I cannot feel them, nor can I bond with a host who feels them. All I know is misery, anger, and despair. You ponies get to taste the best of what life has to offer, and all I can do is choke on its leftovers. You can laugh and smile, while all I can do is weep and rage. To feel any of these positive emotions would mean my death, for dark things like myself were not made to step into the light.
