Description
This is the colored up version of this:[link]
colored in Photoshop CS3.. when I first started using Photoshop in 1998 most my digital illustrations were done this way, black and white art colored in the 'shop. It wasn't years later I started to do illustrations 100% in photoshop, like most the stuff in my gallery. I didn't have a wacom tablet until about 2004 or so and that made a difference. Coloring in B+W art doesn't require quite as much detail and finesse as doing the whole thing in PS, once I had the tablet I was able to do that fine detail work that is difficult, for me anyway, to do with a mouse.
It's also much easier to do digital painting/airbrushing with Photoshop now. When I started I was on Photoshop 5.5 and that really didn't have many options with the brushes. When PS 7 came out that changed a lot of things, that for me is the Photoshop that made the painting ability really work, I think until then you needed Corel Painter to do that kind of work. I haven't used Painter in years but I am curious as to what it's like now.
I loves me some Photoshop! And BLUE DRAGONS! Loves 'em! And no, before you ask it was not influenced by that Blue Dragon game and that didn't even occur to me until I typed "Blue Dragons."

This looks wonderful. I love what you did with the highlights and shading.
I really want a tablet... XD Even with the B/W lineart, this would be way hard to do with a mouse.

Thank you! I have the 6" x 8" Wacom Intuos 3 and I love it.
It's possible to do this kind of work with a mouse but much faster and easier with the tablet. I recommend them 100%!

I'll definitely get one... Once I have the money. XD Starting college in the fall... But a tablet is way at the top of my list of things I want to buy sometime in the future.
