You hate when you see a noob using fake keywords/tags (any kind of thing people would search a lot) to make you see their deviations when you search? this is your stamp

Are you talking about when like a person uploads a picture of something but hashtag it as something that it's not? Like if I were to draw Littlest Pet Shop fan art but hashtag it as #wolves , #transformers , and/or #dragons ?

I put a lot of keywords in my stuff, but not random ones that have nothing to do with the pic

Keywords are the hashtags people add to their works, like for example, if you were to draw a picture of a dog, you'd put #dog in the tag when submitting the picture.

I use keywords that describe my deviant. But I got annoyed and stopped using keywords because their useless. Good thing they're not recommenced before you submit.

I use keywords that people use a lot, but the'yre related to the piece. I also recently learned to not care about populartity. I'll just have fun.

Sadly, it isn't. Most people comes here looking to be popular with their "art". I think that probably more than 60% of deviantart active users are looking, above all, to be popular, and to have people saying they're great doing what they do.

You get that on YouTube quite often. I'm sure people do that on DA as well, it's just not noticed because tags don't show.

Now in YouTube is limited how many tags you can put to your video.
But it is true that here in deviantART usually the tags have nothing to do with the deviations. Search anything and you will find badly drawn manga. And sometimes you don't find good art because the artist doesn't use any tags...

Honestly, I did this a few times on my old account, but when I moved them to scraps, I removed every tag on it. I thought it was rude. :U So now, I only have the Title, fandom, characters, occassionally the medium, and my username. :\

For example, yes. Some people just use really known names of people, characters, products, series or movies to make people find their art even if it isn't related to that.
