Description
Playlists: Grenwald Kingsly
Travis Hughes
Audition
Additional Info: (Stuff we couldn't squeeze onto the ref)
- Gren is primarily a melee fighter as opposed to Travis who would much rather not get into a fist fight and prefers to fight from a distance.
- Gren can't swim well and has an innate fear of water that's deeper than he is tall.
- Travis and Gren, both being leprechauns, have innate luck that prevents something from being too severe. (Most of the time.) Such as a stab barely missing the heart, for example. Or being thrown into a wall and making it out with a broken rib or two.
- They can be cursed with bad luck. Which practically makes them black cats and utter walking disasters.
- Some pop cultural notions of the leprechaun are based in fact. If the book of a leprechaun (considered his greatest treasure) is stolen and kept, the leprechaun must obey the person in possession of it. He can not steal it back, but he can use tricks.
- Gren came to Travis as a customer of his charms shop looking for a way to get rid of the demons so he could sleep, however when Travis had run through all the spells he had, he realized the only way to give him peace was to make him an apprentice. But due to an unfortunate event befalling his first apprentice, he was so hesitant that Gren almost died before he could make up his mind on whether or not to make him one.
- Gren is also the first English leprechaun, he was taken to the Council and Court in Fae Tir just because he wasn't Irish.
- "Fae Tir is the "home of the faires" in who-knows-where Ireland. Every creature from gnomes to leprechauns can be found here, save for the unlucky few (Travis among their numbers) who are permanently barred from entering for various reasons. It's like London for wee folk, and each species is governed by their own. The leprechauns, while the most wayward of the Fae, still must be governed (though not many listen) and are headed by a council. They deal with a range of things, such as choices (bad or good) of apprentices, uses of magic, and leprechauns who have gone dark, among others. Their ultimate goal is to try and limit the possibility of a dark leprechaun, and since many are ancient, they can be a bit bigoted.
- Leprechaun magic is quite fluid, and adapts and manifests to the users personality. There are 100 base spells that once mastered, form the basis of all other leprechaun magic. It isn't uncommon to create an entirely new spell, or to have multiple spells that accomplish the same thing. However there are limits to the magic, which is why Travis has studied other forms.
That should be it!
