In Sonic and the Secret Rings, Erazor Djinn attempted to absorb the Seven World Rings in order to assume ultimate power over the stories of the Arabian Nights to rewrite the world and reality of the book in his own image and then thereafter cross over into Sonic's own world and take over it as well. He attempted to do so by sacrificing the life of Sonic the Hedgehog, however, Shahra sacrificed herself in order to save Sonic's life. However, Erazor attempted to absorb the Seven powerful magical artifacts anyway, but doing so without Sonic actually dying only made Erazor transform into a grotesque, incomplete, and unstable monstrosity. Due to Erazor's ability to keep all the power under his control, and Sonic's feelings over Shahra's recent death, the Rings of Rage, Hatred, and Sadness exited the Djinn tyrant's body and forcefully entered into Sonic, letting the Genie stabilize into a demon called Alf Layla wa-Layla, and transforming the Hedgehog into Darkspine Sonic. This gave Sonic power, but caused him to be slightly more violent and aggressive, but he was able to control the Rings' powers and feelings and mostly kept his typical attitude, and with Shahra's help, was able to defeat the monstrous Alf Layla wa-Layla.

However, despite Darkspine Sonic seeming cool, it seemed a little disturbing to me. The transformation was unintentional on Sonic's part, and he seemed to experience pain as a side effect, and though while Sonic seemingly kept his typical attitude intact and the Rings mostly under control, he was still being powered by the Rings of Hatred, Sadness, and most notably Rage. It kind of seemed like fighting the dark(/evil), with dark, most notably Dark Magic. This got me thinking, as Sonic's transformation seemed to be an incomplete transformation anyway, due to Erazor still having the other four Rings under her own power. And that inspired this idea of mine.

In my genderswapped universe, female Erazor Djinn www.deviantart.com/devanarcher… would still attempt to absorb the seven World Rings, even though femSonic wasn't sacrificed due to Shahrazad's own sacrifice. This still leads the female Erazor turning into the monstrous Alf Layla wa-Layla, and femSonic transforming into a Darkspine form www.deviantart.com/devanarcher…

However, things go a bit differently in this version of the battle. Like in the original battle, Darkspine seems to literally try to beat the power out of Alf Layla wa-Layla, but like when Sonic seemed to be beating upon the monster's "heart", Darkspine Sonic will actually forcefully try to rip out the other four World Rings out of Erazor one-by-one, the Rings of Joy, Pleasure, Prayers/Hope, and Wishes/Desire specifically. And probably when even all the Rings are removed from Erazor, she still might keep her powers and form, although most likely albeit weakened, due to absorbing the power of the Rings already, similarly to how Perfect Chaos absorbed the negative energy from the seven Chaos Emeralds then spat them back out.

When female Darkspine Sonic gets ahold of the Rings of of Prayers/Hope and Wishes/Desire however, she ejects the Rings of Rage, Hatred, and Sadness from her body and absorbs the two newly acquired Rings. Due to being powered by positive emotions instead of negative ones now, similarly to Super Sonic, she transforms into a bright light form; Lightspine Sonic. She might still keep similar powers to the Darkspine form, increased strength, high-speed flight, and pyrokinetic abilities, but whereas the Darkspine form didn't drain rings or gain invulnerability like a Chaos Emerald-powered Super state, Lightspine might become more similar, gaining invulnerability but requiring a steady supply of magic. And like the sealed negative emotions of her previous rings affecting her personality to be slightly more aggressive and violent, the positive Rings might cause her to act a bit more benevolent than usual. She also might use white fire and more magical abilities as opposed to brute physical force like she did as Darkspine.

Lightspine continues to try to remove the Rings' power from Alf Layla wa-Layla, reverting her back into Erazor Djinn, and due to actually getting all seven World Rings under her control, femSonic can revert the void back into the world of the Arabian Nights, command Erazor to return the stories, revive Shahrazad, and rewrite Erazor's destiny to seal her back into her lamp once again, this time probably for eternity.

And femSonic once again wishes of Shahrazad for a handkercheif, and kindly gives it to him with a gentle Hedgehog smile.
