Description
This was my first time painting in greyscale first, then adding colour. As it turns out, I probably should have found out how to add the colour before I started, because I got to the colouring part, then had no idea what to do. I had trouble with just about every part of this drawing, and from start to finish I've been working on it for almost 2 months. The wings took me way too long, and I had to redo the hair at least 5 times. This was all because I was learning this technique as I went along, and I definitely made a lot of mistakes.Β
Also, I'm still not sure about the colour saturation, on my laptop it looks under-saturated, while on my phone it's the opposite. Make sure to tell me if it's really off, because I have no idea.Β

Looks fine on my laptop. This is one of the nicer Spitfire pics that I've seen (when I can find them). Good work.

Fantastic!
Very clean and smooth. The saturation is at a sweet point on my screen, neither over- or under- saturated.
Color variation is nice too. The eyes are STUNNING!
I'd add slightly more detail in the hair, perhaps single hair strands sticking out...
I also made as many mistakes in my piece:Β Breaking Free Β But at least yours is watchable xD
Keep up the fantastic work!Β

Thank you! I'm glad the saturation looks ok, it was impossible to tell on my old laptop screen.
Ya normally I would do more detailed hair, but I really liked the lighting how it was, and I was worried I would mess it up if I tried.

Your art looks really nice! I like how much pose variety you have
I pretty much just watch way to many art streams, and try to copy their techniqueΒ

Well, thanks, I guess. I just kinda do my own thing, for the most part. A lot of it comes from asking other artists for tips. Yes, my art could be better, but I'm still young and can learn.
