"I knew you thought I was cool. Was it my speed? Nah-- it was my strength, huh?" Her voice was grating; any pair of ears outside of her own could surely feel it scraping against their brains. The commentary had started many minutes before and had only devovled further and further into questions and opinions and non-stop blabbering, the younger wolf following closely behind Lyall. If his posture changed at all in response to her ramping enthusiasm, Third didn't notice.

It was all the same to her how Lyall felt about her trailing after him; that didn't matter. What's done was done, as far as she was concerned. The most important thing now was that it was happening! Finally, after what felt like an eternity of waiting, an eternity of boring duties allotted to those most uselessly wasting space and an equal eternity of hounding the heels of any sentinel that didn't chase her off (Lyall had been a frequent target), she would train as one herself. The reddish wolf's muscles felt like they were humming with energy, ready to let loose the moment one of the masters gave the order. That she was even here now in the midst of professionals surely spoke to her potential and yet.. there was still a desperate need for the pack's approval.

"Yeah, it was my strength." She confirmed in the midst of the silence of her own one-sided conversation. "Don't worry, Lyall - I'll be the best apprentice Taika has ever seen. Cross my heart and hope to throw a Kol off a cliff."
