This is stunning, and reminds me of Dave Oppenheim's cover illustration for Bob Dylan's album Blood on the Tracks ( [link] ). That illustration has always been one of my favourites, mainly due to the ghosty grain effect he incorporated into it. You really seem to have perfected it here in this photograph, I love it! Great work!

Absolutely stunning! Such a soft, barely perceptible light and the face shining for just a brief moment. It's funny how most pictures/cameras are crowed about due to the sharpness of their images, the ability to capture something so lifelike and close to the eye. But I suppose what's lost in the process is a story at times... something that can allow anyone to take a picture that still lacks something. Hmm. Guess I'm not being clear, but I do love the image and the quietness of it. Not loud or flashy, but subtle. Either way, great image and thanks for sharing!

It's like it's from the Regency era in England, in the very infancy of photography. And the model is splendid.

This feels like it belongs on a horror set. In the attic, right before all the weird stuff starts happening.... A REALLY GOOD horror set.

Wow, I really like this. The inability to see the neck really adds some creepy mystery to the piece. Love that grainy horror feel. Very unsettling.

I really like this photo. It is dark and mysterious and it actually legitimately looks like an old photograph rather than a modern photo saturated with photoshop effects to make it look old. This photo would be right at home in the 1800s. Great job!

breathtaking...the only thing- i would have created a one background instead of the sharp dividing line between the 2 parts. all the rest is great, the eye is brought to her face as the focal point and she looks like an icon from the middle ages or one of the characters in pasolini's movies....and i like the oldish effect. the other part is very ethereal but it like she sums up even that after-death part in herself..great expression
