Had to feature this in my journal. Hopefully help get the word out that Dave has a presence on Deviant Art!

It's nice to have an honest discourse on Cerebus- I have often tried in other places around the internet to little response, and those that do respond seem be rather negative about the latter half of the work. Cerebus tends to reveal itself to the reader over time, maybe some will come around to the later chapters as they age and change, just as Cerebus does in Dave's story.

still hilarious, I'm slowly reading Cerebus in its entirety for the first time right now, and suddenly seeing this recreations makes me want to zoom from the middle of Jaka's Story to the middle of Mother's and Daughters

Give it time, you'll make it there, and the series only gets better!

oh yes, I know, I've read almost all of it, but never in order...I hear a lot of people saying they don't like the later work, but in my opinion, the series just got better and better, exploring more important issues in more mature ways, issue by issue...

I think there was more controversy at the time, when it was shipping monthly, people not able to encompass the entire story, as well as there are far too many people that tkae small ideas/perceptions and explode them into huge statements.
I as well think that Cerebus only got better as it went on

It's to Dave's credit that he was able to tell the story a little at a time like that, and have it all work so well. Also I'm glad to hear someone ELSE say they like the later issues better!

Methinks that the amount of people that enjoyed later Cerebus aren't on the internet enough. Here in Kitchener, every comic book shop owner agrees that Cerebus is fantastic and its always in stock.

Not that far into Cerebus yet but that's impressive.
