Love the scene where Valjean imagines how it would be if Javert would become a farmer after his dismissal and suffers from it!

Yeah, poor Javert. He is too honest to be a cop or a spy. But that is why I like him so much!

Wow, Simpsons Javert! Man, you are so good at cross-over fandom art! I wonder how much you are dedicated to reading Japanese comic books or American cartoons, and is it easy to get those books or dvds in Russia?

Japanese comics licensed are sold everywere. At least all the new and fashionable. It is a pity that was suspended release of One Piece(only the first four volumes). Well, my favorite Lupin the Third never publish in Russia... I have very few books (One Piece first volumes and Lupin first two volumes in English). Everything else can be found in network (scanes). Or can be ordered from America, Europe and Japan.
Actually, I love cartoons since childhood. It is everything to me.

Hmm, interesting. I know that there are tons of Japanese comic books published in English, but I did not know that they are available in Russia. I mean, come to think of it, you can just use Amazon for international shipping anyway. Stupid of me.
But whey did they stop publishing One Piece, especially the first four volumes? What was the problem?
Lupin the Third was never published in Russia? Why is that?
I guess people in your generation are familiar to Japanese manga. I am really surprised how they draw Japanese anime/manga characters so well!

Comic market in our country is actively developing. At least with foreign editions are no problems. Problem in publishing comics from russian authors. Russian comics develops slowly but surely. Soon I will have a small book.^^^
About One Piece. I know a man who worked as a team on the publication of the first volumes. There was a difficult agreement to the publication in Russia . Rights only on manga does not give (necessarily with the first season of the anime ). It was difficult and publishers refused for a long time. But then , after all, found a publisher willing to take manga and release series (It was in 2012 a year). However, last year broke up one large publishing house and termination of the agreements by many companies. Also has affected on the One Piece. Now it is not clear, but who were the rights to publish, why not continue to release and how long it will last. This is sad.
About Lupin. It's simple. Publishers look only at the new manga. Old editions they are not interested. But with the anime adaptation little more positive. In 2010 one of the channels, broadcasting only cartoons, acquired the rights to the latest 5 tv-specials. (Prior to that, if I am not mistaken, was licensed only Castle of Cagliostro and Mankatsu series). Since then, however, the channel is not bought anything new of Lupin. We can only wait to hope.
Kind of...

Your Simpsons Javert really reminds me of Roger Allam's Javert for some reason.

OMG THE SQUIRRELS.
And Javert working the land; that's an impossible image if I ever saw one. (And awkward Javert is awkward at Valjean's laughing fit.)
So *that's* how he came across the reptile.
