Today is the theme swollen. So yeah.
In the early days, England had it pretty tough. The great plague killed more than 100.000 people. Everyone tried to fight against it with spices and flowers like lavender (or just escaped from the city if they had the money) and later it was stopped, but not because someone found a cure but because everyone (also the rats and fleas) who had the disease died in the great fire of 1666 which was caused of the hot dry summer and the unsafe ways they had to make fire for cooking or heating water.
England's history is pretty hardcore.
