Description
After nearly six months of beading one doll per week, I'm finally getting to the point where I've got enough figures to assemble "themed sets", so to speak - with the addition of Archer this week, here are now the captains from all five Star Trek TV series.Individual dolls:
Kirk
Picard
Sisko
Janeway
Archer
Looking at them together and considering the order they were made in, they also make a nice chronological overview for me of the new things I learned/figured out while venturing further into the world of beading dolls. With this collection hair is the most obvious item - my poor Kirk doll, which was made back in week 15, still has rather weird hair, while Janeway and Archer's looks more like actual hair. Of course, there's a reason why the captains I beaded first were Picard and Sisko

Archer even has his dog! These are adorable. I love the little detail with Kirk's pants being different, etc.

Thank you! I always try to add as much detail as the size of the beads and my beading skills will allow to make the dolls recognisable

OMG! That is so cool! Delightful beadwork. Is that mostly right angle weave? Clever! Congrats on the DD!

I rarely think of these terms used outside of jewellery beading, but I'd say it's crossweave rather than RAW - you start at the middle of the nylon thread and use both ends to either add new circles of beads or connect to the exiting beadwork.

Thank you - I always try to give each doll something that is typical for the character as an accessory if possible to make them more recognisable.

That is awesome! Reminds me of a cartoon I once saw...
Picard, "Tea, Earl Grey, hot."
Sisko, "Raktajino!"
Janeway, "Coffee, black."
Kirk, "Alien babe, green, hot!"
Archer, "Cheese?"
Congrats to the DD!

Wow, the details on Kirk's phaswer and Picard's teacup, the way you got the shape of Kirk's pants, and I've already mentioned the dog...all these details that must have been very difficult and wouldn't have been necessary, yet add so much to the overall entire thing!

Well, I kinda get obsessed about the details. Sometimes I think I need smaller beads
