A small worldbuilding fluff piece for my hunter verse , a bit of religious imagery; the kestrel is one of humanity's sacred animals, seen as a resilient underdog-type (which is also what humanity sees itself as, due to their undead problem). The shapeshifting spirits aligned with the church therefore often assume the shape of a kestrel.

You have no idea how good it was to draw this piece. I've had a bit of a struggle with art lately due to both being exceedingly busy with my bachelor thesis and also primarily drawing more unfamiliar subject matters when I've set off time to draw. It was amazing to return to my roots and draw a bird of prey again. It flowed so well from start to finish and I really needed that kind of confidence boost.
