As seen in the entrance to the Cowell Dining Hall...
A new rendition of Speak Leaf , combining my painting and drawing styles in pseudo art-nouveau trippiness. I think it looks too empty, and will probably go back and add more to the background.
The tree concept comes from the metaphor of the Japanese kanji for "word," written speak leaf.
"words are our binding chains"

Unless you've already edited the background, I don't know what you're talking about by it being too empty. I think that since the corners of it are so busy, the emptiness of the middle balances it out very well. Your color theory has improved a lot too! Jeez, you talented kids. . . (sorry I haven't been commenting in so long, hon! School got ahead of me, haha!)

So I was meandering to the cafeteria this morning when I saw this very picture displayed in the case of the entrance hall. At first I suspected an art thief but upon further examination came to the conclusion that we must go to the same college. Now that's pretty cool.

I love the spirally bits on the right side, and the branches and leaves on the left, and the curvy message running down the one side, and...well, everything, basically. XD
