Jun Matsumoto of Arashi ^^I am way too excited to post this, although it's not yet finished, I think. The highlights of his hair needs a bit of darkening, or am I just a perfectionist? xD

I hate when scanners do that - whenever my scanner does something like that I usually use photoshop to darken it a bit by using curves.

I did photoshop on mine, I adjusted the contrast and auto tone, but sometimes it works better as is, as in the original image, I really hate my scanner
I don't know how to use curves, I'm too afraid of the unknown xD

You can place curves on a preview mode - it's best just to move the line up or down. It's worth a try.
