This'll sound weird, but to me this image is sad.
The queen awaits a guest with her long cloak while her only companions are statues. From the look of the room, she's been waiting a long time. And who's to say that those statues weren't once alive, and the queen is all that's left of some long ended party.

While not too overly complicated, this piece is visually striking. There is an air of aww that comes from the dramatic red cloak that falls behind her. When I look at that piece, I swallow and know that if one was present inside this image, one MUST kneel. The concept behind this image is very interesting.
