wow absolutly beautiful picture here mate...
i love the depth and siluettes of the trees on the left of the river...
the river itself is so detailed and relistic is awsome
and then all the different shades of green that complement each other really well but also are varied enough to keep being interesting to look at even when you've been looking at it for a while...
but anyway mate...great work as is everything else in your gallery

I can't recall specifically how long this particular painting took, but in general, my acrylic paintings can take 10 to 20 hours total (usully over a period of several days - say 5 or 6 2-hour sessions). Since this is a fairly small painting, it probably took more towards 10 hours than 20 - again, just a guess. Of course, I'm usually watching TV (or some other distracting activity) while I paint, so I would probably be a lot faster if I focused strictly on one task

Niiice I'm the opposite. I have a hard time working when there's total silence. I work better and faster with the radio or a movie playing in the background because it takes my mind off those darn thoughts like 'omg this is looking crap' or 'i'll never get this finished'

Nice painting! For some reason, I really like the dark trees on the left. They have a lot of depth to them. I hope to be able to paint something like this one day.
