Who knows what you were thinking when the inspiration hit you. All I know is that it is a powerful image and to me inspires some kind of interpretation...
Reminds me of a personal experience: Where the polarity of all things is witnessed as complementary and necessary. Suffering/Joy Ying/Yang.
The huuuuge smile is complemented by the red specifically near the eyes, which suggests that maybe the eyes have been witness to the darkness.
To me the experience of "bliss" comes about after the realisation of the polarity of all existence - that the dark evil shit that abounds is reflected by so much love n shit. That all is in balance, so although I am still aware of evil it is almost more of a joy that it actually even exists.
It is a total acceptance of everything
The eyes not existing might also suggest that this headspace might transcend personal subjectivity.
Even if none of this is the truth of what this image means to you, I love work that I can take to mean whatever I want. All your works are so ambiguous they're great for that.
