I LOVE the detail on the feathers. You have an absolutely gorgeous bird. The composition is unique also, which totally caught my eye. Great job!

Well, there are some conservation success stories, like the Mauritius kestrel, but unfortunately the saved animals are outnumbered somewhat by the endangered ones

Nope, it's an Echo parakeet! That's the name of the species, Psittacula echo if you want the technical name They're really rare, only about 150 individuals in the wild on Mauritius, but the zoo I work at, Durrell in Jersey, has done lots to save them - there were only 9 birds left in 1986!
