Description

The story of the Ancestor Elves and their dominance over Thule is a fascinating one. It is said that they used to live in magnificent cities that were built using magical technology and they had access to an incredible amount of knowledge that allowed them to control the world around them. The Mir were able to harness the power of magic in ways that the humans could only dream of.

However, the Ancestor Elves discovered that they could transcend the material world and become beings of pure energy and light. This was a groundbreaking discovery that allowed them to become immortal and to explore the universe in ways that were previously thought impossible. They left behind a few of their kind to watch over the ancient Mir technology and to ensure that their knowledge would be passed down to future generations.

Over time, the Mir evolved into a new kind of species that was more in tune with the natural world than their Ancestor Elf counterparts. They became natural predators and developed advanced sensory abilities that allowed them to hunt in the dark and avoid predators. The Mir are known for their great height, strength, and agility. They are also known for their metallic spears, which are the same length as they are tall and can be used as weapons or thrown with incredible accuracy.

The Mir see themselves as the perfect creation of their deity and view clothing as a form of heresy because it denies the perfection of their physical form. They see humans as mutated, diseased, and unclean beings that are an aborted project of their deity. The Mir are deeply spiritual and engage in ritual and worship in quiet, semi-solitary lives. They can live for thousands of years and have not recorded a death outside of combat or physical wounds for hundreds of years.

When a Mir feels they have reached spiritual completion or become apathetic with mortal existence, they will imbibe a thick black liquid and meditate intensely until they eventually die due to poisoning while in a deep meditative state. This process appears peaceful and seamless for the Mir.
