As the wastes of vision receded, a glorious image was presented unto the moonfaced profile of an adolescent, just budgeoning towards true womanhood of the soul and mind. Her eyes, mellow and unripe fading to beryl and then cinereal. Her delicate, slight lips pursed ever so slightly, parting in reverence. Silence settled in as the sum of the image was impressed upon her. She took one shallow breath and palmed first her jaw, then her collar. Never once did her eyes shutter. Never once did lid meet lid. Never once was the image which so astounded her obscured from her. Never once by her own design.
Never once was a word spoken. Silence held her stupefaction bound.
