Description
This is Murdock the demon from the book project I'm working on - Teeney O'Feeney King of the Leprechauns. It's a kids book so I didn't want Murdock getting too scary or nasty. In the story he is motivated by a desire to do the right thing.Related content

I would love to see your book. I mean, a demon motivated to do the right thing? That is just an amazing idea.

This is really amazing.
The tree looks real and all these details.
And especially done in traditional media, that's purely fantastic

My son who's 7 says he doesn't look scary at all. I have to agree, he looks pretty friendly to me actually.

I had the same caveat with my publisher when illustrating the chief bad guy. It took 4 or 5 attempts before I got a version that wasn't too scary
This little guy is a masterpiece. Just the right amount of scariness with the furrowed brows, pointy teeth and pointy nails.

thanks andy
there's a pretty thin margin you have to walk to get it just right - it's easy to go too far.
