Description
I'm like a fish, always fooled by somebodys lies. I always catch on the hooks.I hope my friends irl don't see this, because the objects around have somewhat santimental stories behind them... I just won't like the questions.
I've been hiding such easter eggs in my drawings for my friends, not only to see their reaction, but also to find out wether any of them actually looks at my drawings
Tools: Watercolors, ink, pencils, A3 watercolor paper;
Credit: I got inspired by Wes Anderson and his use of color;
Time: few days;

You requested a critique too...because we both were the only ones to get "hooked" on this I'm kindly returning the favor.
You've got lots of things going on. I have to carefuly look, to not miss anything.
POSITIVE points:
- Body proportions: nothing too bad stands out.
- Many textures: I like the wallpaper the most. You clearly showed what the things are, like wood, textile.
- Shadows: you added dark shadows and highlights. This is great to create a 3D feeling
- Folds: mostly important on the fish tail on the bed. That way it didn't look like a plastic bag
- Symbolism: you tried to tell a story with objects you added
TO IMPROVE:
- Figure shadowing: a little bit more color, not just around the outer lines. But you already know where they should be, so that's a good start.
- Head: the way it is tilted is a little bit off (the neck and the head are unbalanced, the head is too far left)
- Left hand: this is the only one that needs improvement, but all in all the other hand and foot are good
- Perspective: I'm not good in that either , but this is also something that is making the painting look "wrong"...the way she sits on the bed and the way the bed is tilted forward.
The way somebody is coloring something (technique) or which color he/she uses is a matter of personal preference, so I see no use in writing about that. Do the way you like it.
Maybe those videos will help you with shading (basic pencil drawings, but the principles apply to all art mediums):

Thank you so much for commenting! I agree 100% with you!
The perspective is something that bothers me here a lot. I forgot to use a ref and I just blindly dived into the drawing. Also, because it's made on A3 size and my scanner is A4, I had to scan the different parts and then arrange them like a puzzle. The two parts are in different angles and that adds up to the bad perspective
The head too, this is something I always do xD
Thank you for the videos too! And for the critique, I find it very helpful and honest

So happy I could help you.
You scanned the A3 painting with a A4 scanner?
wow, amazing. You did an awsome job...I didn't noticed anything.
That is also the reason why I'm painting on A4 size paper (my scanner )...and to save on paper...and colors
Art is expensive...I need to save
