Description
I made this one for Kristen, after she complained about my lack of light-background fractals. Credit for the color scheme and name go to her.If you didn't already know, it's named after the coolest book ever written.
I'm usually not big on light-background fractals (hence me not making them), but this one is actually pretty nice.
Questions comments complaints? Post them please!

I'm not usually a fan of light-background fractals, but I think I've been converted! It's a really beautiful piece!

Wow... this is quite beautiful! Your piece is quite stunning; frankly, it reminds me of traditional Asian art. Wonderful, wonderful job!

Hmmm, I didn't see it before, but I think I know where you're coming from. Chinese/Vietnamese lanterns and paper decorations, right?
Thanks!

Exactly. ^^ (That, and the fact that the "paper" looks aged.)
You're very welcome!

The combination of colors in this fractal and the choice of background color make this a proper piece of "art." The fractal itself is probably a good one, but nothing special. It makes great strides in the color department though and the composition is perfect -- nice crop, good quality, and perfect lighting control.

Quite a compliment coming from someone as high in the fractal community as yourself, thank you. I'll try to keep all that in mind as I keep making things.

FANGIRLFANGIRLFANGIRL.
I promised I would, after all. But in all seriousness, I'm amazed at the way you made the colors blend so well in this.
I gave you two pretty icky colors (well, technically, I gave you one and Jessie gave you the other, but I digress and I create a never-ending run-on) and you made something absolutely gorgeous out of them. This is my current desktop background, and I catch myself just staring into the left-hand swirl near the circle when I minimize anything. And how the hell did you make something so scientific look so organic?
Beautiful work, as always.

I really like the fineness of the detail and texture here, and the subtle color variation is nice as well.
