Vision: This is really top notch, your eye for the appropriate image combination is envious. A train from the mists isn't exactly an original Idea but the combination of images in you photomanip is. The only reason I give this a 4 is the steam train emerging from a steamed backdrop isn't overly original as an individual piece however the the vision of the piece as a whole is extremely well done.
Originality: I touched on this a bit in vision. A train from the mists isn't overly original. I think I remember a cartoon from my childhood about a train across piano wire. Suffice to say this isn't overly original. That being said it doesn't need to be to be an amazing piece of art. Its amazing because you've done it better than most other attempts.
Technique: This really is stellar. I think this is where you really shine. Almost too much so. Some one glancing at this photo would not even realize they weren't looking at train tracks. You utilize flow lines to direct the eyes and maintain a basic 3rds rule. Really my meager eye can only pick out the base of the trees as a flaw. They sort of look like they are sitting upon the strings rather than sprouting out from them. Perhaps a distortion of the strings to give them a spreading appearance as the trees sprout through would give a more natural look to this. A bit more contrast and darkening of the left corner could help the train feel even more like its coming out of mists and give more of a transition as the eyes follow the lines to your focus point. That may be a bit nit picky but For me a 5 star is absolute perfection. Overall though even without knowing your work flow the technique here appears extremely practiced.
Impact: Overall this is extremely well done. Even though it is something that could be glossed over as yet another train in the mist the technique and color scheming gives the looker pause long enough to really appreciate the amount of detail and the image choices.
