Poor coyote. The day has started so well for her. Birds were singing, and freezing temperatures had started to climb towards spring. Everything was good. Everything WAS good untill she got two tokotas on her trail.

Baltimore and Yukon were strolling around in forest. Yukon, who was seasoned hunter, specialized in hunting of smaller prey, like lynx or coyotes, were teaching Baltimore few tips and tricks. Grey barred piebald followed his senior toko attentively. It didn't take long for Yukon to spot fresh tracks of a coyote. It was probably a female and it has just been eating, since there was lingering scent of fresh blood. Tokota duo started to follow tracks and soon they spotted red pelted coyote in the distance.

Larel and Ker Shan were also on a hunt for some nice coyote. Both tokotas were approaching it from different directions. When coyote caught a glimpe of one of the prowling tokos, it bolted and got all four tokotas after itself. Ah, and day had started so well for her! Coyote and pack of tokotas that barely knwe each other were racing out of the forest to the vast snow field.

In some distance from poor coyote and hunting pack Vignir were practicing bareback riding with her mothers tokota, Rahkasammal. Boy had borrowed half mane without permission, since his mother thought it was too dangerous for kids to ride without tack. Pish-posh, had Vignir thought. He was old and skilled enough. I mean, how much harder could it be? Rahkasammal was being his obedient and kind self. But tokota perked up when he spotted moving cloud of snow approaching. Vignir noticed his tokotas tension and instinctively tightened his grip of Rahkis's fur. In a blink of an eye Rahkasammal bolted into the action and decided to join the hunt. Poor Vignir couldn't do anything but hang on his dear life and scream in horror as his boisterous steed ran after poor coyote.
