You gotta love the challenge that comes with a build this big. Not only making it look solid but keep it light enough so it doesn't buckle under its own weight. This thing must have been awesome displayed next to other MOC's.

well actually it isn't as hard as you may think
as long you have alot of parts, you can do all kinds o shit
just make a basic frame and then add fill up and detail, then if something gets in the way of the articulation or stability, change those parts so it stands up right again
if you continue this you have a huge ass good moving moc

Yeeeup. You know you're talking to me right? I've done big MOCs a few times. 
Its not hard, but it can be frustrating sometimes because it takes a few tries to get the Kinks out. Not to mention I've exhausted most of my parts for these kinds of builds keeping my MOCs together and having a few of these kinds of builds together at the same time.
Your Skirmex could stand to use another version later on, when its a MOC you've not messed with for a while. That's what I do with my big stuff. I find this technique leads to the best MOCs because you come back and go "hey I can do that better now." You've still got that old design in front of you to base the new design off of, but you've either got more parts, new parts, or just a different or better idea than from before. If you can spare the parts, keep Skirmex here together and improve on him.
