Part 4 of my Director SeriesTarantino is a movie geek and I'm a movie geek so there's already a shared interest. I was blown away by Reservoir Dogs - not quite as literally as some of its characters tahnk goodness - but the dialogue... wow... it was revolutionary. That scene at the diner "What do you mean you don't tip?". Classic stuff, often mimiced, never bettered. Pulp Fiction is also phenomenal, and Kill Bill is a modern classic.
There's no denying QT has got the skills.

I don't think Grindhouse is ever going to be seen as it was intended. They pulled it in the US due to poor box-office and they've split the movies for it's European release. Death Proof is due in September (I think) whilst Planet Terror doesn't even have a release date!

They only split it cause it did so badly in the US... Split, they will make alot more money... Its weird though, the reviews I saw were great!!! Don't know why it didn't do very well!!! Still I can't wait to see it!!!
I think we are just going to have to wait for the DVD before we can see them together!!! But if so will we still get the same effect if we've seen it already, when the two were seperated???

TOTALLY. Sadly, I'm 16 and my parents are slightly overprotective about the movies I see, so my dad has to think about whether he'll let me see it or not, but I bet he'll let me go since I'm a big fan of both Tarantino and Rodriguez.

Tarantino is a genious, the dialogues in his movies are always... I don't think there's a word. I loved the tipping dialogue in Reservoir Dogs, and many on Four Rooms.
Love everything in this piece, specially the hands, the softness of his head and that look he has... marvelous

He certainly does write the best dialogue. Are you looking forward to his new movie in 2007? Tarantino & Robert Rodriguez are making a pair of movies which will be shown in a double bill called Grindhouse. The trailers look excellent.
