Hi Vampi,
I'm new here. Also a beadweaver. Love your stuff, especially the ones with cabachons. I also love to work with them.

Beautiful beadwork. I especially like the clasp.

A friend who wants to get back into jewelry making asked me what books I would recommend. So, I thought I would beg the opinions of the artists of DA and compile them in my DA journal.
What three books would you most recommend about making jewelry? And may I post in my journal that you recommended them and place a link to your gallery?

Thank you Yes, you can post my recommendations. I guess it all depends though, on what kind of jewelry your friend wants to get into. If you're talking about beadwork, then I'd suggest Sherry Serafini's and Heidi Kummli's new book 'The Art of Bead Embroidery' [link] as a book by Robin Atkins' 'One Bead at a Time' and her collaboration with Amy Clarke in 'Beaded Embellishment'. Hope this helps

Thanks for your suggestions. It will be a few days before I start compiling. The friend who prompted the requests was asking mostly about casting and fabrication. And, she does wear a lot of beaded jewelry. But once I got started on this book-list project, I figured I should include all aspects of jewelry, even photography and presentation. Should turn out helpful for all of us.

WOW! That is totally awesome! Does this have a material backing on it or is it by itself?

Only the cabs are backed with ultra suede... everything else is open
