Description
Another lazy and messy vector I did just to kill time. Used a reference of course, and traced/vectored in Flash completely. Comments are appreciatedRelated content

Her look kind of reminds me of Natalie Portman in "Closer," I like the colour palette.

Thanks, why don't you try vectors? You just need to be used with the pen tool and mouse

Really? Vector art is so beautiful but I have always been daunted by the prospect of trying my hand at it. I wouldn't know where to begin really; I mostly dabble in the traditional art. How, and when, did you learn to do what you just did above?

Vector? Well, I did learn it at Uni, but believe me, it wasn't the lectures and classes that thought me. One day, I just decided to really, really spend time on vectors, and by doing so, I got more and more comfortable with the pen tool. And know, when vectoring I don't use the tablet, I'm more comfortable with the mouse. You just need patience to try out these vector tools (for me: Illustrator, Photoshop and Flash). Basically I don't trace directly, I put in enough detail just to create my own style. Hope that helps.

Hi There!
You have just earned yourself an O.D.D.(oibyrd's daily devs) feature ! congrats!
ODDS (oibyrd's daily deviations) are to honor the sometimes overlooked artists of dA that I personally think deserve some exposure and also, to introduce the more popular artists to the new/overlooked deviants. I prefer to showcase ALL artwork that I love (and that includes popular artists with a fair amount of traffic to their work) in order to create a non-biased feature of the talent on dA. Please click the link below to see your work featured and to view other featured artists . If you prefer not to be a featured artist, just send me a note and I will remove you from the list. Cheers! Sandi xoxo

You call that messy? Lord, this is a very good vector! It's one of the most original vectors I have seen in a while! I love her face, one look at the pic and i could tell who she is right away, without even looking at the description! Very good and keep the great work!
