Orrigenal black & white piece here. [link]I colored another of my older pics. In case you don't get the joke basically it's just the two most famous video game heroes Sonic & Mario dressed like their orrigenal DiC cartoon voice actors.
(Mario's voice in the "Super Mario Bros. Super Show" was WWF wrestler Captain Lou Albano, and Sonic's was Jaleel White, the guy who played the loveable nerd Steve Urkel in the sitcom "Family Matters")

It's pretty ironic that Jaleel White did the voice for Sonic in the 90s cartoon, considering how opposite the characters of Sonic and Steve Urkel are. Sonic was designed to be cool and edgy, and Urkel's about as nerdy as nerdy can be.

I think these guys were good voices for mario and sonic. white managed to give sonic an attitude without giving him a 90s extreme voice. and albano I feel gave a nice balance of the gruff worker and happy adventurer.
I also got a question do you prefer mario with an Italian Β accent or the Brooklyn accent just curious.

Hard to say, but honestly I do prefer Lou Albano over Charles Martinet. But both are classic Mario voices.

It wasn't, though in an earlier Archie StH comic, Robotnik accidentally makes a "WolvUrkel bot" instead of a "Wolverine bot." Sonic even remarks it's voice sounds familiar.

I think he sounded to high-pitched/young to be DK for me honestly. I wasn't to big on the Nelvana DKC show honestly, but some things about it were amusing. I liked King K. Rool's voice though. (Thought it was odd they called him "KA-Rool," when it's actually pronounced "Kay Rool.")

It's supposed to be "cruel". That's why they pronounce it like that.

In some countries, or dubs of the game/cartoon it is, but from what I hear the initial is actually pronounced "Kay" so it's "Kay Rool." The first episode of the DKC TV series even called him "Kay Rool" a few times. They also never called the enemies "Kremlings" in said series.

Well, it's possible to do in MS Paint, but it would take a lot of time to make sure the pattern looks neat and consistent.

Yeah, especially if it's a JPG, which most of my pics are... So if I tried coloring them in that, there would be pixel artifacts, and such to that I'd have to fill in, which is a pain...

Ya know, ever since I found out he was voiced by the same guy that did Urkel, I've always wondered if someone drew a pic like this, and I was right. I've always wanted to draw Sonic like this, but I suck a drawing him. -_-' You, however did a fantastic job. ^^ I'm so faving this.
