Commission for *IamETOH of himself (a fox) and *JamJams 's (A wolf Samoyed mix) characters.
Their characters in a snuggly wuvvly portrait. I loves me some circle motifs, yes goddamnit I do. this one looks really nice in person too. I don't think iv drawn a portrait in a while so YEAH.
Still practicing mixed media traditional art. Need to get better with coloring larger pencil pictures like this one.
As with anything that I do in real media it looks much better in person. If only I could afford a megascanner x3
Hope you guys like it! Crits if you like! I know I messed up the foxes mouth/smile a tad but I tried to salvage it.
Watercolor base, faber castel polychromo pencils for detail + some markers.

I like how the picture kinda shows the two becoming one...in this case....becoming a circle. It shows the care the two have for each other. Haha.

'tis an adorable piece. The subtle expression in the eyes is very well done, and from what I can tell from the scan the textures on the fur is top-notch. I can almost see a yin and yang present in the circle motif- not sure if that is something you were going for; I don't know the characters but I digress. Very ascetically pleasing and well done.
That said, you probably needed to follow the reference on the character Etoh a bit more closely. I thought he was a wolf or dog before reading Culpeo-Fox's comment- that is the only thing I can see for you to improve on.

The picture itself is quite lovely, although Etoh does not looks like a fox at all in anatomy. The ears are too small in relation to the head, the pupils are not slit but round, the snout is too bulky and the whiskers are completely missing.
Overall, those features make Etoh look more like a wolflike canine or dog. maybe you should take a closer look to vulpine anatomy to work that out next time.
No offence, it was just something that caught my eye. Besides that, i really like the way of colouring here, the smoothness adds to the loveable subject. Keep it up.
