This is an older sketch that I did after reading a few Japanese horror story-tales over x-mas and I also read volume 8 of XXXHolic with the new villain: the Joro Gumo.Joro Gumo translated into English meens "Spider Prostitute." The Spider aspect is actually a way of sucking the life out of it's prey in nature. The prestitute aspect is a form of female charm; luring a man into her posession and then draining the life out of her victom. In the old stories of the Joro Gumo that I read when I was very young I remember the JOro Gumo as a gaisha or dancer who was dressed in the formal clothes as a gaisha and she lured men into a lake and ate their souls. There bones were the only remains as she grows bigger by eating their souls. The skulls and remains in this image are her lovers.
So what do you guys think? Cool, no?

I believe people should get back to their roots and just draw. Everyone CAN draw... illustration and putting their thoughts down on paper relies on talent and skill but you can always work on skill.
I really want to finish this. Maybe this year for Halloween.

Wow, that's very sexy and mysterious, it really has a feeling of those super-cool (and sometimes super-weird, but not in this case) Japanese horror stories. This is a picture one could really look at for a long time, great work!

Heheheheh! I'm sure, love. I'm still behind on GTO and Negima and Shaman King and.... Sgt. Frog and.... oh god, the list goes on! But XXXHolic I make a note to keep up-to-date on. I just love the mythology in that one.
Yeah, spiders never give anyone that fuzzy feeling but this one was for mythology sake so it works. Heheheh!

There are alot of people getting into Mythology. It's great! Mythology really teaches you alot and gets you into various cultures. I'm curious to read more Russian mythology and stories. They are quite interesting.

Yeah, I kinda miss that style. I've been working on a cutsey story for a while now that it's hard to move back to my anxty style from the olden days.
