Thanks! As for the brushwork, i use a brush that gives a sort of brushy effect (As if i am painting with traditional materials). But of course just using it does not equate to this brushwork. I had to really paint layer on top of layer to get that look mixed in with different brushes here and there. So yeah i had to build up the painting slowly but carefully, creating a lot of mistakes along the way to create something that works!

I can point you to what to search for! Search for Eytan Zana's Brushes or jaime jones brushes! Look for a circular brush with a texture on it. Hmmm hope that helps!
