Description
Under the center, inside thier minds,there is a beam of light.
It comes from inside a box, they find:
a box of morning sights.
The box is cracked and maybe it's old.
Perhaps it needs repair.
All of its light is windy and cold,
not like they really care.
They worked with haste to cover the lines;
the box was covered well.
THen they discovered they killed it's shine
and left themselves in hell.

Loved the twist at the end. An immediate and startingly well achieved insight into the nature of the human mind and the paradox of human experience. We can let light (experience, past, contact, or even purpose) in, and it may hurt, muck our perfection, but if we perfect ourselves, we may loose the light, and end up with nothing more but an empty.. yet perfect shell. Amazing
