This is from 12 episode of GDW series.
When Mel tried to protect Gajou from Hogen's followers. He is small and just a little..weak (be honest). But he is a brave. I love it. For start he was shaking and scared by them. But remembered Weed. He always wanted to be as brave as him. So, he fought.
ps: in series he didn't cry like that. But I guess it's more emotional to draw tears to show how it's difficult to win his fear and what a big sense of justice he has.

For me, this scene cemented Mel as a badass just as worthy as Gin or Tesshin or the rest. All the others dog fought with strength and training and age on their side. Mel was young, all alone, and still stuck to his morals of justice and courage. No one was there to see him die, no one would have known if he had. But he still fought for Gajou and his friends.

Dude, you made Mel look so much more badass than he was in the show, this is amazing!The tears are a nice touch, shows nice emotion. I really like the background and how the rain of it makes the drawing much more intense. This is now one of my favorites drawings of Mel.

Mel is my ultimate favorite in GDW. <33 This is amazing. It is hard to stand up for what you have to protect, when you know you could die or if you're afraid for what's ahead. Mel is one of the braves little ones in the anime <33 Very well done!
