In the beginning of the timeskip, Azulya went missing, she stopped sending Yukino letters and no one has seen her since. She originally told Lucy she went away to train and become stronger, but apparently she is nowhere to be found.

Yukino : Yeah, that's pretty unusual...Since she joined Fairy Tail, she writes me every week, but not anymore...
